Frank J. Brown (1956 – April 9, 2020) was an African-American visual artist active in Minnesota. His sculptures have entered several public collections. Early life and education Brown was raised in Carbondale, Illinois, the youngest of ten children. His family later relocated to Springfield, Illinois Springfield is the capital of the U.S. state of Illinois and the county seat and largest city of Sangamon County.
