Frank James Hanna (7 March 1893 – 23 June 1967) was a former Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). During the 1914 season he transferred to Hawthorn in the Victorian Football Association where he played until the end of the 1915 season. Frank Hanna (footballer, Born 1924)
Frank Hanna (5 April 1924 – 28 November 2010) was a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). In 1948 he was badly injured when Jack Dyer strongly bumped him, breaking his collarbone and suffering a concussion. He was carried from the ground on the stretcher and Dyer played the remainder of the game thinking he had killed Hanna. In 1949 he coached the Horsham Football Club before moving to Tasmania in 1950 to coach Yeoman Football Club and then Burnie Football Club Burnie Dockers Football Club is an Australian rules football club in Burnie, Tasmania, Australia. Francis "Frank" Hanna (1914–21 November 1987),Gerry Fitt, "Mr Francis Hanna", ''Irish Times'', 25 November 1987 was an Irish politician. After studying at St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School, Belfast and Queen's University, Belfast, Hanna became a solicitor, founding Francis Hanna and Co., specialising in personal injuries and trade union cases. A Roman Catholic supportive of a united Ireland, Hanna joined the Nationalist Party and was elected to Belfast City Council. In 1942, he joined James Collins in defecting to the Northern Ireland Labour Party (NILP), and in a 1946 by-election, he was elected for Belfast Central. Hanna beat Victor Halley of the Socialist Republican Party at the election; the Nationalist Party which had held the seat for many years choosing not to stand. Frank J. Hanna III is an American entrepreneur, merchant banker and philanthropist. He was one of three entrepreneurs profiled in the Acton Institute and PBS documentary film '' The Call of the Entrepreneur''. Hanna has been described as "one of the leading Catholic philanthropists in the USA." Education and Career Hanna was a corporate attorney with Troutman Sanders, a multi city law firm headquartered in Atlanta. Since 2006, he has served as CEO of the family's investment firm, Hanna Capital, LLC. After studying at the University of Georgia, where he earned BBA and JD degrees, Hanna and his younger brother David devised a method for helping companies rid themselves of unwanted loans.
