Frank Goode
Frank Goode (born 19 December 1939) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne in the VFL during the 1960s. Owing to an injury to John Dugdale, Goode spent the 1965 and 1966 seasons as a full-forward with success. He topped North Melbourne's goal kicking in those years with 38 and 49 goals respectively. Injured earl 1967 he had surgery-injured again in 1968 and when second surgery failed he went on to coach NMFC U19's after which he coached Sandringham VFA side in 1971/72. 1961 VFL Season
The 1961 VFL season was the 65th season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured twelve clubs, ran from 15 April until 23 September, and comprised an 18-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs. The premiership was won by the Hawthorn Football Club for the first time, after it defeated by 43 points in the 1961 VFL Grand Final. Premiership season In 1961, the VFL competition consisted of twelve teams of 18 on-the-field players each, plus two substitute players, known as the 19th man and the 20th man. A player could be substituted for any reason; however, once substituted, a player could not return to the field of play under any circumstances. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Junction Oval (also known as the St Kilda Cricket Ground, or the CitiPower Centre due to sponsorship reasons) is a historic sports ground in the suburb of St Kilda in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The oval's location near the St Kilda Junction gave rise to its name. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Through the AFL Commission, the AFL also serves as the sport's governing body and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. John Dugdale (born 8 March 1936) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He shares with Jock Spencer the club record of seven times topping their season ending goalkicking charts. From 1957 until 1964, Dugdale was North Melbourne's top goalkicker in all but one season. A 1958 All Australian, Dugdale was captain of the Kangaroos from 1968 to 1970. He won a Best and Fairest in his first season as captain. Royce Desmond Hart (born 10 February 1948) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
