Frank Joseph Davis (1942—2013) was a radio and television personality in New Orleans, Louisiana, distinguished by his tag line "Naturally N'Awlins" that concluded his on-air interviews. He served New Orleans television station WWL-TV and its radio affiliate WWL-AM, from 1974 until his health-related retirement in 2011. Frank Davis (1923-1940) was a 17 year old Boy Scout who was awarded a posthumous Bronze Cross, Scouting's highest gallantry medal, for his bravery during the London Blitz of World War II as a Volunteer Air Raid Precautions Messenger and in rescuing an injured fellow Scout. Life Frank was born in 1923 and lived all his life in Bermondsey, then a London Borough and now part of Southwark. Death Like tens of thousands of other UK Scouts, Frank used his skills and time to help in the war effort. Frank was working as a Messenger, carrying messages by hand between Civil Defence Posts during air raids. Whilst the original medal commendation has been lost, a contemporary newspaper article describes how Frank and a friend came across a burning incendiary device which had been dropped by a German aircraft on Dockhead, Bermondsey. Frank R. Davis (January 29, 1953 – January 22, 2008) was an American serial killer who raped and murdered three teenage boys in Indiana between 1971 and 1983. Early life While at a juvenile detention center, Davis was sexually abused by one of the attendants and at least one other inmate. The courts later said the attack that Davis suffered from the fellow inmate was similar to how he assaulted one of his victims. Murders On January 10, 1983, Davis confronted a 15-year-old boy at gunpoint, wrapped a wire around his neck, then forced him to perform oral sex. He then pistol-whipped him unconscious. Frank Marshall Davis (December 31, 1905 – July 26, 1987) was an American journalist, poet, political and labor movement activist, and businessman. Davis began his career writing for African American newspapers in Chicago. He moved to Atlanta, where he became the editor of the paper he turned into the ''Atlanta Daily World.'' He later returned to Chicago. During this time, he was outspoken about political and social issues, while also covering topics that ranged from sports to music. His poetry was sponsored by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs. He also played a role in the South Side Writers Group in Chicago, and is considered among the writers of the Black Chicago Renaissance. Frank Davis (born 25 August 1944) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL).
