Frank Blas
Frank Flores Blas Sr. (March 20, 1941 – August 1, 2016) was a Guamanian politician, businessman and member of the Republican Party of Guam. Blas served as the 5th Lieutenant Governor of Guam from January 5, 1987 until January 2, 1995 for two consecutive terms under Governor Joseph Franklin Ada. Biography Early life Blas was born on March 20, 1941, in Agana, which is now known as Hagåtña, Guam to Vicente Cepeda Blas and Beatrice Leon Guerrero Flores. He attended Father Dueñas Memorial School in Guam, but graduated from St. Augustine High School in San Diego, California. He received an associate's degree from the College of Guam in 1962. Blas then graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1965. The ''Pacific Daily News'', formerly ''Guam Daily News'', is a morning edition newspaper based in Hagåtña, in the United States territory of Guam. It is owned by Kaleo Moylan and is published seven days a week. History ''Guam Daily News'' began as a newspaper of the United States Navy, published under various titles. Carl Tommy Cruz Gutierrez (born October 15, 1941) is an American (U.S. citizen) politician who was the 6th Governor of Guam, serving two four-year terms with Lieutenant Governor Madeleine Z. Bordallo from January 2, 1995 to January 6, 2003. Thomas V. Camacho Tanaka (born August 7, 1940) is a Republican politician from Guam, previous Speaker of the territorial Senate from 1979 to 1983, and previous candidate for the position of Governor of Guam. Paul McDonald Calvo (born July 25, 1934) is a Guamanian politician who served as the 3rd Governor of Guam from 1979 to 1983. Kurt Scott Kaleo Moylan (born January 14, 1939) is a Guamanian politician who served as the 1st Lieutenant Governor of Guam from January 4, 1971 to January 6, 1975 and the 7th and last Secretary of Guam from July 20, 1969 to January 4, 1971 in the administration of Governor of Guam Carlos Camacho.
