Franciscus Luitjes
Franciscus Jacobus "Frans" Luitjes (21 June 1944 – 27 October 1965) was a Dutch sprinter. He competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in the 100 m and 200 m events, but failed to reach the finals. In 1964, Luitjes was selected the KNAU Athlete of the Year. The , officially the and commonly known as Tokyo 1964 ( ja, 東京1964), were an international multi-sport event held from 10 to 24 October 1964 in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo had been awarded the organization of the 1940 Summer Olympics, but this honor was subsequently passed to Helsinki due to Japan's invasion of China, before ultimately being cancelled due to World War II. A lymph node, or lymph gland, is a kidney-shaped organ of the lymphatic system and the adaptive immune system. A large number of lymph nodes are linked throughout the body by the lymphatic vessels. They are major sites of lymphocytes that include B and T cells. Lymph nodes are important for the proper functioning of the immune system, acting as filters for foreign particles including cancer cells, but have no detoxification function.
