Francisco Quintero
Francisco Quintero Nava (8 March 1923 in Guadalajara, Mexico – 10 March 1979) was a Mexican football player. He was a goalkeeper for Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) and represented Mexico at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. Among his teammates was Antonio Carbajal. He is the grandfather of current goalkeeper for the Atlanta Silverbacks, Felipe Quintero Monsivais. Club Deportivo Guadalajara (); often simply known as Guadalajara () and their nickname ''Chivas'' (), is a Mexican professional football club based in Zapopan, Jalisco. Antonio Félix "Tota" Carbajal Rodríguez (; born 7 June 1929) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was also called ''"El Cinco Copas"'', in reference to his then-record of five World Cups played. Club career Born in Mexico City, Carbajal became a professional footballer with the local ''Club España'' in 1948, after having been in the squad that participated at the Olympic tournament in 1948. After the disappearance of ''España'' in 1950, he joined Club León, where he would remain until the end of his career. International career Carbajal made his international debut in the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on June 24, 1950, against World Cup hosts Brazil. Atlanta Silverbacks
The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season. The team played its home games at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, a large soccer complex featuring a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Atlanta, 15 miles northeast of downtown. The team's colors were red, black, grey, and white. The club had 2 independent supporter groups, Westside 109 and the Atlanta Ultras. The Ultras were established in 2011 & were known to support both the Silverbacks men's and women's side. The Ultras were also to be known for their fanatical support at Silverbacks Park, as well as away matches. Felipe Quintero
Felipe de Jesús Quintero Monsivais (born July 29, 1979), known as Felipe Quintero, is a Mexican soccer player who played for Atlanta Silverbacks in the North American Soccer League. Career Mexico Quintero was in Club Deportivo Guadalajara's youth system from 1999 to 2004. In 2005, he played for Lobos de la BUAP in the Primera División A which is the second division in Mexico. Quintero also helped Irapuato win the Mexican second division title and advance to the first division. He also played for Ángeles de Puebla, Ciudad Juárez, and Querétaro. United States Quintero signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division in 2006, and was the team's first choice goalkeeper for the next two seasons until the Silverbacks went on hiatus following the conclusion of the 2009 USL1 season.
