	Francisco Guerrero (composer) Francisco Guerrero (October 4 (?), 1528 – November 8, 1599) was a Spanish Catholic priest and composer of the Renaissance. He was born and died in Seville. Life and career Guerrero's early musical education was with his older brother Pedro and after that with the famous composer Cristóbal de Morales. At the age of 18 he was appointed ''maestro de capilla'' (i.e. music director) at Jaén Cathedral. Three years later he accepted a position of singer at Seville Cathedral. During this time he was much in demand as a singer and composer, establishing an exceptional reputation before his thirtieth birthday; in addition he published several collections of his music abroad, an unusual event for a young composer. After several decades of working and traveling throughout Spain and Portugal, sometimes in the employ of emperor Maximilian II, he went to Italy for a year (1581–1582) where he published two books of his music. 	Francisco Guerrero (politician) Francisco Guerrero y Palomares (1811 – 13 July 1851) was a Californio politician and ranchero, who served as the third and sixth Alcalde of San Francisco (then known as Yerba Buena). He was notoriously murdered in 1851, in a scandal involving American prospectors seeking to discredit the land claims of Californios. Life Guerrero was born in Tepic, New Spain (colonial México). He came to Alta California with the Hijar-Padres Colony in 1834, and settled in Yerba Buena (San Francisco). He was married to Josefa de Haro (daughter of Alcalde Francisco de Haro), and had five sons. He was the third Alcalde of Yerba Buena in 1836. Guerrero served again as the sixth Alcalde in 1839. In 1844 he was granted Rancho Corral de Tierra, located in present-day San Mateo County, California. A section of the land grant is now a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. 	Francisco Guerrero Marín Francisco Guerrero Marín (July 7, 1951 – October 19, 1997) was a Spanish composer. He was born in Linares and died in Madrid. During his lifetime, he completed several compositions, among which there are five major works for orchestra: Antar Atman (1980), Ariadna (1984), Sahara (1991), Oleada (1993) and Coma Berenices (1997). In 1981, he started working on the cycle Zayin on request by the Arditti Quartet. Another project was an orchestration of the piano cycle Iberia of the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. However, this work was still unfinished on his death. The main aspect in Guerrero's work was the search for musical elements to match natural phenomena. 	Francisco Guerrero (footballer, Born 1977) Francisco Gabriel Guerrero (born 23 August 1977, in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine former football player who played as striker. Career Guerrero advanced from the U-20 team to Independiente's first team in 1994. In 2001 he was transferred to Switzerland and joined FC Zurich under head coach Georges Bregy. He played with them on occasion, but not regularly. After two and a half seasons he was loaned out. On 12 February 2004 he signed a half-year loan contract with FC Basel.
