Francisco Javier Tadeo Domínguez Brito (born October 28, 1965, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Santiago) is a Dominican lawyer and politician. He has been Minister of Environment and Natural Resources (2016), Minister of Labor (2011), Senator (2006), Attorney General (2004) and District Attorney of the National District (1997). Joaquín Antonio Balaguer Ricardo (1 September 1906 – 14 July 2002) was a Dominican politician, scholar, writer, and lawyer who was the 41st, 45th and 49th president of the Dominican Republic serving three non-consecutive terms from 1960 to 1962, 1966 to 1978, and 1986 to 1996. He previously served as the 24th vice president under President Héctor Trujillo from 1957 to 1960. Orlando Martínez Howley
Orlando Martínez Howley (September 23, 1944 – March 17, 1975) was a left-wing journalist and member of the Communist Party of the Dominican Republic who was a critic of President Joaquín Balaguer. He was ordered to be killed by the then president in 1975, and in 2000, four men were given 30-year jail sentences in connection with the killing.
