Eugene Worley
Francis Eugene Worley (October 10, 1908 – December 17, 1974) was a United States representative from Texas and later an United States federal judge, Associate Judge and Chief Judge of the United States Court of Customs and Patent Appeals. Education and career Born on October 10, 1908, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, Worley moved to Shamrock, Texas in 1922, attending the public schools. He attended the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (now Texas A&M University) in 1927 and 1928, and the University of Texas School of Law from 1930 to 1935. He was admitted to the bar in 1935 and entered private practice in Shamrock from 1935 to 1941. He was a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1935 to 1940. He was a United States representative from Texas from 1941 to 1950. He was a lieutenant commander in the United States Naval Reserve during World War II from 1941 to 1942, while a Member of Congress. Adams County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 103,852. Its county seat is Gettysburg. The county was created on January 22, 1800, from part of York County, and was named for the second President of the United States, John Adams. On July 1–3, 1863, a crucial battle of the American Civil War was fought near Gettysburg; Adams County as a result is a center of Civil War tourism. Latimore Township is a township in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,580 at the 2010 census. History Latimore Township was formed out of Huntington Township in 1807. The early township as formed was larger than today. In 1868, what is now the Borough of York Springs separated as a municipality. Mechanicsville, the only village in this township, was founded in 1800. The Wilkes University Election Statistics Project is a free online resource documenting Pennsylvania political election results dating back to 1796. Currently, the database documents Pennsylvania's county-level vote totals for President, Governor, United States Senator, and Congressional elections back to 1796. The database also contains directories for members of the Pennsylvania Provincial Assembly and the Pennsylvania General Assembly, dating back to 1682. According to the database's designer, Wilkes University Professor Harold E. Cox, "No other state has anything like it." The project's impetus began in 1996, when Cox inquired about 19th century election statistics, only to find that the data would cost $1,000.
