Francis John White (21 April 1830 – 4 May 1875) was a pastoralist and politician in New South Wales, Australia. Early life White was born at Ravensworth to overseer James White and Sarah Crossman, the 3rd of 10 children, Jane, James, George, Sarah, William Edward, Frederick Robert, Edward, Henry Charles, and Jane. He was educated by the Reverend John Gregor at West Maitland and then Dr Aitken. His father died in 1842 when he was aged 11. Land ownership and squatting He qualified as a surveyor however he returned to work on the family property, Edinglassie, near Muswellbrook, which he operated in partnership with his brothers James and George. On 6 July 1853 he married Mary Hannah Cobb. In 1848 the brothers leased Belltrees near Scone from William Wentworth buying the property in 1853. Francis White (soldier)
Francis White (died December 1657) was an English soldier and politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1656. He died at sea after serving in Flanders. White was a major in the Lord General's Regiment of Foot and in May 1649 went on Cromwell's behalf to reason with mutinous soldiers at Burford Oxford. On 11 September 1650 the Council of State gave warrant to pay White £300 for bringing news of good success from Scotland. He was Lieutenant Colonel in Colonel Goff's Regiment of Foot in 1653. On 15 August 1653 the Council allowed White to open a door from his house in King's street into an orchard in Whitehall. In 1655 he was one of the most active of officers forming a committee of ordnance. In 1656, White was elected Member of Parliament for Tewkesbury in the Second Protectorate Parliament. Francis White (1761October 6, 1826) was a distinguished early American lawyer and politician in what was then the U.S. state of Virginia (now West Virginia). White served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing Hampshire County, and later served as a member of the Virginia State Senate, representing Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, and Morgan counties. He represented Virginia's 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives during the 13th United States Congress. White also served as the sheriff of Hampshire County. Francis White (1638) was an English bishop and controversialist. Life He was son of Peter White (died 19 December 1615), vicar of Eaton Socon, Bedfordshire, was born at Eaton Socon about 1564 (parish register begins in 1566). His father had five sons, all clergymen, among them John White (1570?–1615), chaplain to James I. Francis, after passing through the grammar school at St Neots, Huntingdonshire, was admitted pensioner at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, on 20 March 1579, aged 15. He graduated Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1583, Cambridge Master of Arts (MA Cantab) in 1586, and was ordained priest by John Aylmer, Bishop of London, on 17 May 1588. His early preferments were the rectory of Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, a lectureship at St. Paul's Cathedral, London, and the rectory of St. Peter's, Cornhill, London. Francis Buchanan White (20 March 1842, Perth – 3 December 1894, Perth) was a Scottish entomologist and botanist. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with an M.D. in 1864. After doing a Grand Tour in 1866, he settled in Perth where he would remain his entire life. His main area of interest was the Lepidoptera and the taxonomy of the Hemiptera. He was the author of numerous scientific papers, published in the ''Scottish Naturalist'', ''Journal of Botany, British and Foreign'', and ''The Proceedings and Transactions of the Perthshire Society of Natural Science''. Francis Le Grix White
Rev Francis Le Grix White FRSE FGS (1819–1887) was a 19th-century British vicar remembered as an amateur geologist. Life He was descended from the Norman family of Le Grix de Neuville, and obtained a coat of arms to mark this. He was born in 1819, the only son of John White of Culham Street in London. He was educated at Worcester College then studied law at Oxford University, becoming a barrister at the Middle Temple in 1844. He then took a change in direction, studying divinity at Oxford, and graduating BA in 1848 and MA in 1849. In 1857 he became vicar of Croxton, Staffordshire remaining there to 1869. In 1872 he is listed as private chaplain to the Marquess of Drogheda. In 1876 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. His proposers were Charles Neaves, Henry Cotterill, Daniel Sandford (his brother-in-law), and Andrew Wood. He died on 17 May 1887 in Penrith. Francis Anthony "Eg" White (born 22 November 1966) is a British musician, songwriter and producer. He started his career in the cowpunk band Yip Yip Coyote in the 1980s and then formed Brother Beyond with his brother, David White, in the late 1980s. In 1990, Eg White recorded the pop album '' 24 Years of Hunger'', and then in 1992 he produced the debut, self-titled album by Kinky Machine. He turned to songwriting in 1997, winning the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 2004. In 2008 White worked with Adele on three tracks.
