Former Dominicans
A former is an object, such as a template, gauge or cutting die, which is used to form something such as a boat's hull. Typically, a former gives shape to a structure that may have complex curvature. A former may become an integral part of the finished structure, as in an aircraft fuselage, or it may be removable, being using in the construction process and then discarded or re-used. Aircraft formers Formers are used in the construction of aircraft fuselage, of which a typical fuselage has a series from the nose to the empennage, typically perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Laicized Roman Catholic Priests
In the canon law of the Catholic Church, the loss of clerical state (commonly referred to as laicization, dismissal, defrocking, and degradation) is the removal of a bishop, priest, or deacon from the status of being a member of the clergy. The term ''defrocking'' originated in the ritual removal of vestments as a penalty against clergy that was eventually codified within the ''Roman Pontifical''. While the ritual removal of the vestments no longer exists, canon law still prohibits the wear of a clerical collar by laicized priests. In the Catholic Church, a bishop, priest, or deacon may be ''dismissed from the clerical state'' as a penalty for certain grave offences, or by a papal decree granted for grave reasons. This may be because of a serious ...
