Francis Liang
Francis Liang or Liang Kuo-hsin (Chinese: 梁國新; pinyin: ''Liáng Guóxīn''; born 17 December 1951) is a Taiwanese diplomat and former politician. He currently serves as the Representative of Taipei Representative Office in Singapore, a position he has held since 2016. Prior to this, Liang served as Vice Minister and Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs (MOEA) in 2009–2014, and chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) from 2014 to 2016. Education Liang received his M.B.A. from the University of Miami and his bachelor's degree in law from the National Taiwan University. He also undertook postgraduate studies in law at the National Taiwan University. Taiwanese People
Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue. Taiwanese people may also refer to the indigenous peoples of the areas under the control of the Government of the Republic of China since 1945, including Penghu as well as Kinmen and Matsu Islands that collectively form its streamlined Fujian Province (see Taiwan Area). The Central News Agency (CNA) is a government-controlled news agency in Taiwan. In addition to its Chinese language edition, it also has English and Japanese editions. It has a 300-strong employee base, and overseas branches in some 30 countries. The Executive Yuan () is the executive branch of the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Its leader is the Premier, who is appointed by the President of the Republic of China, and requires confirmation by the Legislative Yuan. Under the amended constitution, the head of the Executive Yuan is the Premier who is positioned as the head of government and has the power to appoint members to serve in the cabinet, while the ROC President is the head of state under the semi-presidential system, who can appoint the Premier and nominate the members of the cabinet.
