Weyburn
Weyburn is the eleventh-largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. The city has a population of 10,870. It is on the Souris River southeast of the provincial capital of Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina and is north from the North Dakota border in the United States. The name is reputedly a corruption of the Scottish "wee burn," referring to a small creek. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Weyburn No. 67. History The Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) reached the future site of Weyburn from Brandon, Manitoba in 1892 and the Soo Line Railroad, Soo Line from North Portal, Saskatchewan, North Portal on the US border in 1893. Francis is a former provincial electoral division for the Legislative Assembly of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, centred on the town of Francis, Saskatchewan. The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. Planning Consultation on census program content was from September 11 to December 8, 2017. The census was conducted by Statistics Canada, and was contactless as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The agency had considered delaying the census until 2022. Highway 35 is a paved undivided provincial highway in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It runs from the US Border near Port of Oungre (where it meets United States Route 85) to a dead end near the north shore of Tobin Lake. Saskatchewan Highway 35 (SK Hwy 35) is about long. Highway 33 is a highway in the southern portion of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan connecting Regina (Arcola Avenue) to Stoughton; the highway is divided near Regina. Highway 33 is about long. Route description Regina Regina is the only city along Highway 33 and is its western terminus. It is the second largest city of the province of Saskatchewan, and is the capital city.
