Francesco Beschi
Francesco Beschi is the current bishop of Bergamo. Life Francesco Beschi was born to a railroad worker and his wife on 6 August 1951 in Brescia. He grew up in Brescia and joined the seminary of his diocese in his youth. He became a priest in 1975 and for 12 years he was a parish priest in two parishes of Brescia. From 1987 he held various positions in the diocesan curia of the Diocese of Brescia. On 18 May 2003 he was consecrated as titular bishop of Vinda and assumed the duty as auxiliary bishop of Brescia. A titular bishop in various churches is a bishop who is not in charge of a diocese. Yara Gambirasio (21 May 1997 – 26 November 2010) was a 13-year-old Italian girl killed on the evening of 26 November 2010. Murder and case development At 6:44 PM on 26 November 2010, Yara Gambirasio left the Brembate di Sopra, Italy sport center alone, but never reached her home 700 meters away. Her family soon called the Carabinieri, but despite a search involving hundreds of volunteers, her body was not found until 26 February 2011 in Chignolo d'Isola, 10 kilometers from Brembate di Sopra. The body showed multiple superficial cuts, possibly made by a pointed object such as a nail or a knife, and a large wound on the head. A curia is an official body that governs an entity within the Catholic Church. These curias range from the relatively simple diocesan curia; to the larger patriarchal curias; to the curia of various Catholic particular churches; to the Roman Curia, which is the central government of the Catholic Church. Other Catholic bodies, such as religious institutes, may also have curias. These curias are historically descended from the Roman Curiae, and they keep that name even though they now have very different functions. Maurizio Malvestiti (born 25 August 1953) is the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lodi, appointed on 26 August 2014, to replace Giuseppe Merisi. Biography Born in the village of Marne, frazione of Filago in 1953, Malvestiti was baptized in the saint Bartholmew parish church. He studied at the seminary of Bergamo and was ordained as a priest in 1977. He continued his theological studies in Rome and also perfected his knowledge of French and English.
