Francesca Massey
Francesca Massey (born 1982) is the former Organist and Director of Music at Rochester Cathedral, a position she held from September 2019 to August 2022, when she was succeeded by Adrian Bawtree. Previously she was Sub-Organist at Durham Cathedral from 2011. In addition to being a professional Church/Concert Organist, Massey is actively engaged as a Choral Conductor, Pianist, Organ and Music Teacher both privately and on behalf of Durham University, Oundle for Organists and the RSCM. Born in Birmingham in 1982, Francesca was educated at Cambridge University and the Royal Northern College of Music (on a prestigious ABRSM Scholarship). Rochester Cathedral
Rochester Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, is an English church of Norman architecture in Rochester, Kent. David Goode (organist)
David Goode (born 1971) is a British organist and composer. Life and career Goode was a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral, briefly attended Wells Cathedral School, was then a music scholar at Eton College and then organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge 1991–94. While there, he studied the organ with David Sanger and Jacques van Oortmerssen. From 1996–2001, he was sub-organist at Christ Church, Oxford. He won major prizes at the 1997 St. Alban's Interpretation Competition and at the 1998 Calgary Competition. Roy Cyril Massey (born 9 May 1934) is a British organist and conductor. Early life and education Born in Birmingham, Massey was educated at Moseley Grammar School and the University of Birmingham, where he was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Music (BMus). He also holds the diplomas of FRCO(CHM) and the Archbishop's Diploma in Church Music (ADCM). Career Massey served as organist of St Alban-the-Martyr, Bordesley (1953–1960), and of St Augustine's Church, Edgbaston (1960–1965), before becoming warden of the Royal School of Church Music and organist of Croydon Parish Church (1965–1968). Paul Spicer
Paul Spicer (born August 18, 1975) is an American football coach and former defensive end who is the defensive line coach for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. He played college football at Saginaw Valley State. He then played 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1998 to 2009, the majority of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ralph Allwood
Ralph Allwood (born 30 April 1950) is a British choral conductor, composer and teacher, who currently holds the appointment of Fellow Commoner advising in Music at Queens' College, Cambridge. He was previously the Precentor and Director of Music at Eton College between 1985 and 2011. He had previously headed the music departments at Pangbourne and Uppingham. During his time at Uppingham, he established choral courses, now known as ''Rodolfus Choral Courses'', but formerly known as ''Uppingham Choral Courses'' and most recently ''Eton Choral Courses'', of which there are now seven a year. Naji Hakim
Naji Subhy Paul Irénée Hakim (Arabic: ''ناجي صبحي حكيم'' 'Naji Sobhi Hakim'' born 31 October 1955) is a Franco-Lebanese organist, composer, and improviser. He studied the organ under Jean Langlais at the Conservatoire de Paris, and succeeded Olivier Messiaen as titular organist at the Église de la Sainte-Trinité, Paris, holding this position from 1993 to 2008. Before this, he was titular organist at the Sacré-Cœur basilica in the same city from 1985 to 1993, succeeding Daniel Roth. Peter Hurford
Peter John Hurford OBE (22 November 1930 – 3 March 2019) was a British organist and composer. Life Hurford was born in Minehead, Somerset, to Gladys Hurford (née James) and Hubert Hurford, a solicitor. He was educated at Blundell's School in Tiverton, Devon. He later studied both music and law at Jesus College, Cambridge, graduating with dual degrees, and afterwards obtained a reputation for both musical scholarship and organ playing. Hurford subsequently studied in Paris under the French organist André Marchal, exploring music of the Baroque period. He made interpretations of Bach, and recorded the complete Bach organ works for Decca and BBC Radio 3.
