Francesca Fialdini (born 11 October 1979 in Massa) is an Italian television and radio host. Biography After graduating in Communication Sciences from the Sapienza University of Rome, she began her career working in radio as a collaborator for the foreign editorial staff and as a news anchor on Vatican Radio in 2004. From 2005 to September 2013 she worked as correspondent and anchorwoman for the news in the program ''A sua immagine'', broadcast on Rai 1. Zecchino d'Oro (; meaning "Golden Sequin") is an annual international children's song competition established in 1959 by Niny Comolli. It is broadcast by Rai 1. The first two contests were held in Milan. In 1961, the contest was taken up by the Antoniano Institute and moved to Bologna. In 2009, Cino Tortorella left Zecchino d'Oro. In 1963, Mariele Ventre, a conductor and director of young performers, created the Piccolo Coro dell'Antoniano Children's Choir (called Piccolo Coro "Mariele Ventre" dell'Antoniano after her death in 1995, and directed by Sabrina Simoni). Lacco Ameno ( nap, U Là cchë) is a town and ''comune'' situated in the northwest of the island of Ischia, in the Metropolitan City of Naples off the west coast of Italy. The town has a population of around 4,800 inhabitants. It is located at the feet of Mount Epomeo, facing the sea. The name most likely derives from the Greek ''lakkos'', meaning "stone". The name ''ameno'' was added to the official name in 1862. A telethon (a portmanteau of "television" and "marathon") is a televised fundraising event that lasts many hours or even days, the purpose of which is to raise money for a charitable, political or other purportedly worthy cause. Most telethons feature heavy solicitations for pledges (promises to donate funds at a later time) by masters of ceremonies or hosts, who are often local celebrities or media personalities combined with variety show style entertainment such as singers, bands and instrumentalists.
