Francesca Chipare
Francisca Chipare (born 1 October 1998) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who plays for the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team. In February 2021, Chipare was named in Zimbabwe's Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for their series against Pakistan. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour was called off after just one match, with Chipare missing out on her chance to debut. In October 2021, she was named in Zimbabwe's Women's One Day International (WODI) squad for their series against Ireland. The following month, she was again named in Zimbabwe's WODI squad, this time for their series against Bangladesh. She made her WODI debut on 10 November 2021, for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh. Later the same month, she was named in Zimbabwe's team for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe. Mountaineers Women's Cricket Team
The Mountaineers women's cricket team is a Zimbabwean women's cricket team based in Mutare. They compete in the Fifty50 Challenge and the Women's T20 Cup. They won the inaugural edition of the Fifty50 Challenge in 2020–21, and the Women's T20 Cup in 2022–23. History The team were formed in 2020, to compete in Zimbabwe's two new women's domestic competitions: the Fifty50 Challenge and the Women's T20 Cup. In the Women's T20 Cup, the side finished third in the group stage, winning two of their six matches. In the Fifty50 Challenge, the side topped the group with four wins from their six matches to qualify for the final. In the final, they restricted Rhinos to 210 all out, before winning by 62 runs via the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method, with Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano making 85. Uganda Women's National Cricket Team
The Uganda women's national cricket team represents Uganda in international women's cricket. They played their first matches as part of a triangular series that also involved Kenya and Kenya's A side in January 2006. They played in the African regional qualifiers for the 2009 World Cup in December 2006 against Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. They finished third in the tournament. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. 2022 Capricorn Women's Tri-Series
The 2022 Capricorn Women's Tri-Series was a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that was held in Namibia in April 2022. The participating teams were the hosts Namibia, along with Uganda and Zimbabwe. The tournament consisted of a triple round-robin stage followed by a final between the top two teams. The series was the first as head coach of Zimbabwe Women for former international cricketer Gary Brent. Namibia won the opening match of the series, against Zimbabwe, by seven wickets, to record their first ever win against a Full Member side. On day two of the series, Uganda lost both of their matches, the first by twelve runs to Namibia, and then by eight runs to Zimbabwe.
