Franca Sozzani
Franca Sozzani (; 20 January 1950 – 22 December 2016) was an Italian journalist and the editor-in-chief of ''Vogue Italia'' from 1988 until her death in 2016. Biography Sozzani was born and grew up in Mantua, Lombardy, northern Italy. She studied Germanic languages and literature and philosophy at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, graduating in 1973. She married at the age of 20; the union was dissolved three months later. Sozzani's career began as an assistant at the children's fashion magazine ''Vogue Bambini'' in 1976. She directed the publications ''Lei'' beginning in 1980 and ''Per Lui'' starting in 1982 before heading up ''Vogue Italia'' in 1988. In the 1990s, Sozzani helped create the phenomenon of the supermodel with one of her closest long-term collaborators, Steven Meisel. Michel Comte
Michel Comte (born 19 February 1954) is a Swiss artist, filmmaker, fashion and portrait photographer. His most recent art project âLight€™, focuses on the impact of environmental decline through his large-scale installations, paintings, sculptures and multimedia artworks. Comte started his career as an art restorer, specializing in contemporary artworks such as Andy Warhol and Yves Klein. In 1979, he was discovered by Karl Lagerfeld who gave him his first international assignment for Chloé and later Chanel. Francesco Scavullo
Francesco Scavullo (January 16, 1921 – January 6, 2004) was an American fashion photographer best known for his work on the covers of ''Cosmopolitan'' and his celebrity portraits. Biography Scavullo was born January 16, 1921, on Staten Island, New York City. He used his father's camera to photograph his sisters, who would model for him. He began working for a studio that produced fashion catalogs and soon moved to ''Vogue.'' Scavullo spent three years as Horst P. Horst's assistant, studying Horst's techniques. He created a cover for ''Seventeen'' in 1948 that won him a contract with the magazine. Scavullo soon opened his own studio in Manhattan, and was married to model Carol McCallson from 1952 to 1955. Scavullo's 1969 photograph of singer Janis Joplin with a cigarette in her hand was exhibited at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, Texas.
