Fox Interactive was an American video game publisher based in Los Angeles, California. The company published games based on 20th Century Fox properties, yet also published several original titles, such as '' Croc: Legend of the Gobbos''. History 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment (1994–2003) Fox Interactive was formed in May 1994, and was led by former Time Warner Interactive executive Ted Hoff, the company was a division of FoxVideo, the home media distribution part of 20th Century Fox, and also distributed their titles. The first two games published by the new division were ''The Tick'', based on the Fox Kids cartoon series of the same name, and ''The Pagemaster'', based on the film of the same name. On January 5, 1996, the company announced the release of ''Die Hard Trilogy'' for a August–September 1996 release window. ''Die Hard Trilogy'' is an action video game based on the first three installments of the ''Die Hard'' series of action movies. ''Die Hard Trilogy'' features three games in one, each based on a movie installment and featuring a different genre and gameplay style. ''The Pagemaster'' is a 1994 American live-action/animated fantasy adventure film starring Macaulay Culkin, Christopher Lloyd, Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Stewart, Leonard Nimoy, Frank Welker, Ed Begley Jr., and Mel Harris. The film was produced by Turner Pictures and Hanna-Barbera and released by 20th Century Fox on November 23, 1994. ''The Pagemaster'' is a platform game released in conjunction with the 1994 film ''The Pagemaster'' for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, and Sega Genesis. Richard Tyler can be guided through a selection of literature genre-themed levels, ranging from horror to adventure and fantasy worlds. Magic can be used, and stomping enemies to death by jumping on their heads is permitted. Enemies include bats, flying books, giant hands, ghosts, pirates, and more. Reception '' GamePro'' gave the SNES version a mixed review. They criticized the poor controls and repetitiveness, commenting that "Almost all of ''Pagemaster'' is redundant platform jumping against the same enemies who appear over and over again." However, they praised the graphics for their colorful and effective recreations of the settings for famous novels and concluded the game "isn't bad, it just isn't as fun as it could've been." ''The Tick'' is an American animated television series adaptation of the New England Comics satirical superhero the Tick. The series aired for three seasons from 1994 to 1996 on the Fox network's Fox Kids block, which introduced the character to a mainstream audience. ''The Tick'' is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game developed by Software Creations, released by Fox Interactive and distributed by FoxVideo in 1994. The game was released on the Super NES and Sega Genesis systems and was based on the comic book and Fox Kids animated series of the same name. Gameplay The game is very typical for the side-scrolling genre. However, it turns into a semi-isometric view like in '' Streets of Rage'' once enemies appear on the screen.
