Four Seasons Hotel Moscow
The Four Seasons Hotel Moscow is a modern luxury hotel in Manezhnaya Square in the Tverskoy District, central Moscow, Russia. It opened on October 30, 2014, with a facade that replicates the historic Hotel Moskva (russian: Гости́ница «Москва́»), which previously stood on the same location. It is located near Red Square, and in close proximity to the old City Hall. It was operated by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts from its opening until 2022, when the chain ceased managing the hotel due to economic sanctions resulting from the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. The hotel continues to use the name, though it is no longer part of the international chain. History The Hotel Moskva was constructed from 1932 until 1938, opening as a hotel in December 1935. Manezhnaya ( rus, Манежная площадь, p=mɐˈnʲeʐnəjə ˈploɕːɪtʲ, '' Manege Square'') is a pedestrian open space in the Tverskoy District, at the heart of Moscow. Revolution Square (russian: Площадь Революции, ''Ploshchad Revolyutsii'', ''Revolyutsii Square'') is a square located in the center of Moscow, in Tverskoy District, northwest of Red Square. The square has the shape of an arc running from the southwest to the north and is bounded by Manezhnaya Square to the southwest, Okhotny Ryad to the north, and the buildings separating it from Nikolskaya Street to the south and to the east.
