Four Arts Gardens
The Society of the Four Arts is a non-profit charity organization that was founded in 1936. Its campus on the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach is home to the Esther B. O’Keeffe Gallery Building, which includes the Esther B. O’Keeffe Art Gallery, a concert hall auditorium, two libraries, an administration building, and gardens. The Plaza's original building by Maurice Fatio now houses the town's library. The O'Keefe Gallery building was designed by architect Addison Mizner. The Mary Alice Fortin Children's Art Gallery is on the second floor of the Rovensky Administration building, as well as the Four Arts Children’s Library. Ira Bruce Reines
Ira Bruce Reines (born December 3, 1957) is an American artist best known for his bronze sculptures. He currently resides in Norwalk, Connecticut. Biography Born in New York City, Reines began making clay figurines at age 6. After the family moved to Connecticut when Reines was 15, he began to win art competitions. Entirely self-taught and garnering accolades, at 19 the director of the Medallic Art Company offered Reines a job sculpting medallions. After a few years of developing his plaster skills, Reines caught the attention of Art Deco master, Erté. For the next eleven years, Reines worked alongside Erté, transforming Erté's two-dimensional works into three-dimensional bronze sculptures. This collaboration continued until Erté's death in 1990. These sculptures became known as the Erté Sculpture Collections and are housed in the permanent collections of both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian. Philip Jackson (sculptor)
Philip Henry Christopher Jackson CVO DL (born 18 April 1944) is a Scottish sculptor, noted for his modern style and emphasis on form. Acting as Royal Sculptor to Queen Elizabeth II, his sculptures appear in numerous UK cities, as well as Argentina and Switzerland. His twice life-size (6 metre tall) bronze statue of Bobby Moore was erected outside the main entrance at the new Wembley Stadium in May 2007, to pay tribute to his effect on the game. Philip Jackson was born in Scotland during the Second World War and now works at the Edward Lawrence Studio in Midhurst, West Sussex and lives nearby. He went to the Farnham School of Art (now the University for the Creative Arts). After leaving school, he was a press photographer for a year and then joined a design company as a sculptor. Lawrence Holofcener (February 23, 1926 – March 4, 2017) was an American-British sculptor, poet, lyricist, playwright, novelist, actor and director. He held British and American dual citizenship. Early life Holofcener was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Edward A. and Lillian S. (Stulman) Holofcener. He attended University of Maryland and the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he met and performed with Jerry Bock. They went on to write songs for ''Big as Life'' and ''Your Show of Shows'', starring Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca and Carl Reiner. They wrote the Broadway stage scores for '' Mr. Wonderful'' and ''Catch a Star''.
