According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 159 people, 66 households, and 39 families residing in the town. The population density was 104.1/km2 (271.0/mi2). There were 77 housing units at an average density of 50.4/km2 (131.3/mi2). The racial makeup of the town was 60.38% White, 35.22% Black or African American, 1.89% from other races, and 2.52% from two or more races. 2.52% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. Jenny Wingfield
Jenny Wingfield is an American screenwriter and novelist. Born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas, Wingfield spent much of her childhood in Louisiana, where her father was a preacher. She attended Southern State College (now Southern Arkansas University) in Magnolia, and after graduating taught languages for several years. Her screenwriting credits have included the films ''The Man in the Moon'' and '' The Outsider'', as well as Hallmark Hall of Fame's ''A Dog Named Christmas'', which was the winner of the 2010 Genesis Award. Jeremy Sparks (born May 31, 1977) is an American, a retired Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association member, Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo Hall of Fame Bullfighter, and author of Go West-'' 10 Principles that Guided My Cowboy Journey. Early life Sparks was born in Helena, Arkansas to Elmer and Claudie Sparks. He has two brothers, Jeff and Jay Sparks. In 1989, his family moved from Marvell, Arkansas to Fountain Hill, Arkansas. It was there he had a God-given dream to pursue rodeo bullfighting. While only 14 years old, he dedicated himself to pursuing the sport and was mentored by champion bullfighter Donny Sparks. Joseph Walter Jackson (July 26, 1928 – June 27, 2018) was an American talent manager and patriarch of the Jackson family of entertainers. He was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
