Jean-Pierre Foucault (; born 23 November 1947 in Marseille) is a French television and radio host. He was born in Marseille, his mother was Jewish. He was the host of '' Qui Veut Gagner des Millions ?'', the French version of ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'', and the host of ''Zone Rouge'', the French version of '' The Chair''. He has been hosting the Miss France pageant since 1996 and hosted the Miss Europe in 2003, 2005 & 2006 pageant. Jeffrey Foucault (born January 26, 1976) is an American songwriter and record producer from Whitewater, Wisconsin, United States, whose work marries the influence of American country, blues, rock 'n' roll, and folk music. He has released seven full-length solo albums under his own name and two full-band lyrical collaborations with poet Lisa Olstein, under the moniker Cold Satellite. Foucault has toured extensively in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe since 2001, in both full-band and solo appearances. From 2013 through 2020, he performed as a duo with drummer Billy Conway (Morphine, Treat Her Right). Foucault's solo releases were previously issued by western Massachusetts-based independent label Signature Sounds, including ''Stripping Cane'' (2004), ''Ghost Repeater'' (2006) and ''Horse Latitudes'' (2011). Jean Bernard Léon Foucault (, ; ; 18 September 1819 – 11 February 1868) was a French physicist best known for his demonstration of the Foucault pendulum, a device demonstrating the effect of Earth's rotation. He also made an early measurement of the speed of light, discovered eddy currents, and is credited with naming the gyroscope. Steven Raymond Foucault (born October 3, 1949) is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher from 1973 to 1978 for the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, and Kansas City Royals. Foucault attended Miami Coral Park Senior High and South Georgia College He was traded from the Rangers to the Tigers for Willie Horton on April 12, 1977. David Foucault (born February 7, 1989) is a Canadian football offensive lineman for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) football for the Montreal Carabins. Charles Eugène de Foucauld de Pontbriand, Viscount of Foucauld (15 September 1858 – 1 December 1916) was a French soldier, explorer, geographer, ethnographer, Catholic priest and hermit who lived among the Tuareg people in the Sahara in Algeria. He was assassinated in 1916. His inspiration and writings led to the founding of the Little Brothers of Jesus among other religious congregations. Orphaned at the age of six, de Foucauld was brought up by his maternal grandfather, Colonel Beaudet de Morlet. He joined the Saint-Cyr Military Academy. Upon leaving the academy he opted to join the cavalry. He thus went to the Saumur Cavalry School, where he was known for his childish sense of humour, whilst living a life of debauchery enabled by an inheritance he received after his grandfather's death.
