Fotis Takianos (basketball)
Fotios "Fotis" Takianos (Greek: Φώτης Τακιανός; born April 14, 1969) is a Greek former professional basketball player and current Greek professional basketball coach, currently managing PAOK of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. Coaching career After retiring from playing basketball, Fotis Takianos became a full-time basketball coach. He started by serving as an assistant coach (2004-2007) at Iraklis, A.E.K. B.C. and P.A.O.K. BC in the Greek Basket League, before he was appointed as the head coach of Panorama B.C. for the first time in March 2007 in Greek 2nd Division. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The GBL plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 13 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the A2 Basket League and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. It runs from October to June, with teams playing 22 games each during the regular season, and the top 8 teams then competing in the playoffs. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division. Reserve teams must play a league below their main side, therefore, Panathinaikos B are ineligible for promotion to the Super League Greece. They cannot play in the Greek Cup either. Nikolaos "Nikos" Papanikolopoulos (Greek: Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Παπανικολόπουλος; born April 21, 1979) is a retired Greek professional basketball player and current basketball coach. During his playing career, at a height of 1.96 m (6'5") tall, he played at the point guard and shooting guard positions.
