''Parents'' ( da, Forældre) is a 2016 Danish drama film directed by Christian Tafdrup. Søren Malling won a Robert Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role as Kjeld. Premise When their son Esben moves away from home, Kjeld and Vibeke decide to move to something smaller. They discover that their old apartment is for sale and move back to start fresh. Kjeld decorates the apartment as it once looked, and together they relive their youthful days in love. But what once defined them may no longer exist, and one morning events take a turn neither of them could have predicted as they wake up thirty years younger. Søren Dyrberg Malling (; born 3 February 1964) is a Danish actor. Career Raised in Kjellerup, Malling trained at Skuespillerskolen at Odense Teater in 1992. He is best known for his role as Inspector Jan Meyer in the Danish TV crime thriller ''Forbrydelsen''. In 2010 Malling played Torben Friis in another Danish series, ''Borgen'', and later had a major role in '' 1864'', resulting in him achieving international recognition. Bodil Jørgensen (born 3 March 1961) is a Danish film actress. She has appeared in 40 films since 1992. She starred in ''The Idiots'', which was entered into the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. On 18 June 2014, Jørgensen was severely injured while shooting for the film ''Far til fires vilde ferie'' on the island of Mandø. She fell off a tractor she was riding in the scene being filmed, and was crushed by it. Severe injuries to her ribs, pelvis and internal organs ensued, but she survived the accident.
