Fortissimo (song)
"Fortissimo" is a 1966 song brought to success by Rita Pavone. The music was composed by Bruno Canfora, while the lyrics were written by director and screenwriter Lina Wertmüller, at the time a close collaborator of Pavone, after having directed her in the television miniseries ''Il giornalino di Gian Burrasca'' and in the musicarello film ''Rita the Mosquito''. The arrangements of the song are by Luis Bacalov. "Fortissimo" was chosen as the opening song of the popular RAI variety show ''Studio Uno'', whose 1966 edition Pavone presented, alternating with Mina, Ornella Vanoni and Sandra Milo. The song was later covered by several artists, including Mina, Iva Zanicchi, Robert Goulet, Betty Madigan, Laura Bono, Nathalie Nathalie is a female given name. Rita Pavone (; born August 23, 1945) is an Italian-Swiss ballad and rock singer and actress, who enjoyed success through the 1960s. Singing career She was born in Turin, Italy. In 1962 she participated in, and won, the first Festival degli Sconosciuti ("Festival of the Unknown"), a song competition for amateur artists. Her self-titled 1963 album, led by the hit single ("The Soccer Game") made her a national star at 17, and international attention soon followed. sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc. Her recording of ("Heart") also sold a million copies in 1963 and spent nine weeks at number one in Italy. Sandra Milo (born Salvatrice Elena Greco; 11 March 1933 in Tunis) is an Italian actress, television personality, author, and musician. She won a Silver Ribbon best supporting actress award for each of her roles in Federico Fellini's ''8½'' and ''Juliet of the Spirits''. Ornella Vanoni (; born 22 September 1934) is an Italian singer-songwriter and actress. She is one of the longest-standing Italian artists, having started performing in 1956. She has released about 112 works between LP, EPs and greatest hits albums, and is considered one of most popular interpreters of Italian pop music. During her long career she has sold over 65 million records. Artistic career Vanoni started her artistic career in 1960 as a theatre actress.
