''Fort Apache Napoli'' ( it, Fortapàsc) is a 2009 Italian biographical film directed by Marco Risi about the fight against the Camorra and subsequent assassination of journalist Giancarlo Siani, played by Libero De Rienzo. Plot The film tells the story of Giancarlo Siani, a young Neapolitan journalist who works in the editorial room of ''Il Mattino'' in Torre Annunziata. He works the crime beat (). While writing about crimes and murders by the Camorra, Siani begins to investigate the Camorra's alliances with the politicians of Torre Annunziata, and to discover large areas of corruption and collusion between politicians and organized crime. Libero De Rienzo (February 24, 1977 – July 15, 2021) was an Italian film actor, director, and screenwriter. Career De Rienzo was born in Naples and raised in Rome. In 2001, De Rienzo appeared in three films: ''Fat Girl'', ''Gioco con la morte'', and '' Santa Maradona''. He received a David di Donatello award for best supporting actor for his work in ''Santa Maradona''. In 2004, De Rienzo starred in ''A/R andata+ritorno''. As of 2005 ''Blood, Death Does Not Exist'' has been released, a film which De Rienzo acted in, wrote, and directed. Edoardo Bennato (born 23 July 1946, Naples, Campania, Italy) is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is the brother of the singer-songwriter Eugenio Bennato. He is considered one of the greatest Italian rockers, a genre that he has often combined with blues and folk. Guitarist, harmonica player and singer, he later began to propose himself as one-man band, playing at the same time also tambourines, kazoo and other percussions. Ennio Fantastichini (20 February 1955 – 1 December 2018) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Gallese, province of Viterbo, Fantastichini studied acting at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico. Lorenzo Nuvoletta (January 1, 1931 – April 7, 1994) was the head of the Nuvoletta clan, a Neapolitan Camorra organization that operated from the town of Marano di Napoli, situated on the northern outskirts of the city of Naples. Nuvoletta was considered one of the most powerful bosses in the entire Camorra from the 1970s to the early 1990s.
