Forster Motorsport
Forster Motorsport are a racing team, based in Wallsend, United Kingdom. They are primarily known for racing Minis in the UK MINI Challenge, and being successful in their endeavours. They also competed in the 2010 BTCC season in a pair of BMW 320si racing cars. MINI Challenge The team was formed in 2002 to allow Arthur Forster to race in the UK MINI Challenge. His previous experience racing Ford Fiestas in the 1994 Ford Fiesta Challenge stood him in good stead and he was instantly challenging for race wins, and indeed took a few top place finishes in his maiden season. In 2004, Arthur finished the season on level points, but missed out on the title on countback. He rectified this by becoming the Challenge Champion in 2005. Arthur Forster
Arthur Forster (born 3 August 1967 in Newcastle upon Tyne) is a British auto racing driver. He is currently competing in the UK MINI Challenge with his own Forster Motorsport team, and competed in the 2010 British Touring Car Championship for them. Racing career Forster competed in karting at club level in the 1980s. In 1994 he competed in the Ford Fiesta Challenge as a privateer. In 2002 he stepped up to the Mini Challenge, finishing second in 2004 before becoming champion in 2005. He was second outright again in 2006. He also competed in Britcar between 2005 and 2007 in a self-built Mini, winning a race outright at Snetterton in 2005. He also competed in the Silverstone 24 Hours with just one teammate after third driver and popstar Chris Rea withdrew due to illness. Martin Depper
Martin Lee Dapper (born 5 July 1968) is a British auto racing driver and businessman. He previously competed in the British Touring Car Championship. Depper was the 2008 Mini Challenge UK Champion with Forster Motorsport. In 2013, he competed in the VW Cup, racing for KPM. Racing career Born in Kings Norton, West Midlands, Depper first started competitive racing in 2005, initially in the Mini Challenge Cooper Class. After finishing third in Club Class in his second season, he finished third outright in the Senior Class in 2007 for Forster Motorsport, and won the drivers title outright in 2008. In 2009, he finished in fourth place overall with three race wins. Wallsend
Wallsend is a town in North Tyneside, England, at the eastern end of Hadrian's Wall. It has a population of 43,842 and lies east of Newcastle upon Tyne. 2010 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. Neal's teammate Gordon Shedden also had a shot at the title heading into the final round but a broken driveshaft immediately prior to the start of Race 2 at Brands Hatch left him too far adrift and he finished the title 42 points behind Plato. BMW E90
The fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars is designated under the model codes E90 (saloon), E91 (estate, marketed as 'Touring'), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). The model was introduced in December 2004, and produced by BMW until October 2013 and is often collectively referred to as the E90 or E9x. The E9x saw the introduction of run-flat tyres to the 3 Series range. Models with run-flat tires are not equipped with a spare tyre. The E92 335i was the first 3 Series model produced with a turbocharged petrol engine. Mat Jackson (born 10 June 1981) is a British racing driver. Racing career Early years Born in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, Jackson started racing in karts in his teens, before finishing 4th in the 2000 Renault Clio Cup, his first attempt at tin-top racing. For 2001 he moved to the production class of the British Touring Car Championship with the GR team's Ford Focus, finishing 4th in his class. He struggled for funding in subsequent years, and was something of a forgotten man when he entered the SEAT Cupra Championship in 2005 with a family-run team. He was a revelation however, finishing as series runner-up, with a series-high 8 race wins, and a tally of 8 poles and 8 fastest laps. Lea Wood (born 18 August 1984) is a British auto racing driver and mechanic, employed at his father's garage based in Hereford. He has competed previously in the British Touring Car Championship. Racing career Early years He started club level karting in 1995 and progressed to the Mendips (Bristol) Raceway Minirod series, where he was champion in 2000. AmD Technik Essex (also known as Automotive Developments) is a British car tuning company and auto racing team. The team currently competes in the British Touring Car Championship under the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square banner.
