Forrest L. Richardson
Forrest L. Richardson (born April 12, 1959) is an American golf course architect and member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA). Professional career Forrest Richardson began his career under the guidance of Arthur Jack Snyder (1917–2005), a golf architect who changed his career from golf course superintendent to designer in the late 1950s. Snyder served as Grounds Superintendent of Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh in the early 1950s. In 1988 Forrest Richardson founded Golf Group Ltd. (now known as Forrest Richardson Golf Course Architects. Forrest Richardson & Associates is based in Phoenix, Arizona with an office also located in Southern California. Forrest Richardson has designed, remodeled and restored more than 20 golf courses and has been involved in the planning of more than 100 golf projects in and outside the US. Oakmont Country Club
Oakmont Country Club is a country club in the eastern United States, located mostly in Plum with only a very small portion of the property located in Oakmont, suburbs of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. Rees Jones (born September 16, 1941) is an American golf course architect. Life and career Born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey, the son of legendary golf course designer Robert Trent Jones and the younger brother of golf course designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr., he attended Montclair High School. His first exposure to golf course design came as a boy when he would accompany his father surveying courses. After attending Yale and graduate studies at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, he joined his father and older brother at Robert Trent Jones Incorporated. He helped his father on numerous courses until forming his own firm in 1974. He has designed or redesigned over 100 golf courses in his career.
