Formoz Festival
Formoz Festival () is a music festival in Taiwan. Started in 1995 with only ten participating bands, Formoz Festival plays an important role in the development of Taiwanese indie music and has now become a three-day event, attracting music fans from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong. It is organized by the Taiwan Rock Alliance which is led by Freddy Lim. Lim's collective paid a large amount of money in that year for Megadeth, Biohazard, and Yo La Tengo to appear, and the 2001 Formoz Festival became the largest international music festival ever held in Taiwan. Before 2005, it had been fairly easy for concertgoers to sneak in for free. That year, the TRA increased the ticket price and made the entrance process more stringent, in hopes of breaking even. Taipei Children's Recreation Center
The Taipei Children's Amusement Park (TCAP; ) is an amusement park in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the largest publicly operated amusement park in Taiwan. History The area where the park lies today used to be a historic playground called Taipei Children's Recreation Center. On 11 April 2006, the area was designated as a national archaeological site. In October 2007, the Taipei City Government then initiated a plan to redevelop the area into a new children's park. The park was then opened to the public on 16 December 2014. Taipei Metro, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation was commissioned for its management and maintenance. Architecture The park spans over an area of 5 hectares. It is divided into three main zones, which are Fantasy Forest and Dream Ocean, Magic Planet and Toy Soldier Kingdom. Megadeth
Megadeth is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine. Yo La Tengo
Yo La Tengo (YLT; Spanish for "I have her") is an American indie rock band formed in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1984. Biohazard (band)
Biohazard is an American hardcore band formed in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1987. They are one of the earliest bands to fuse hardcore punk and heavy metal with elements of hip hop. The original lineup consisted of bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist Bobby Hambel, and drummer Anthony Meo. Guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei joined soon after, and drummer Danny Schuler replaced Meo before the recording of their first album, thus solidifying the band's lineup from 1988 to 1995. Freddy Lim Tshiong-tso (; Tâi-lô: ''Lîm Tshióng-tsò''; born 1 February 1976) is a Taiwanese politician, musician, and independence activist. He is the lead vocalist of the Taiwanese heavy-metal band Chthonic. and the lead vocalist of the band started by him and American guitarist Marty Friedman. Lim served as chair of Amnesty International Taiwan from 2010 to 2014. He was one of the founding leaders of the New Power Party (NPP) in Taiwan and represented the party in the Legislative Yuan until 2019. Lim won a second legislative term as an independent in 2020.
