''Forgiveness'' is the third studio album by Canadian country music artist Jim Witter. It was released on January 14, 2003 by Curb Records. The album was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year in 2004. Jim Witter
Jim Witter (born November 2, 1964) is a Canadian award-winning country music and Christian music singer/songwriter. Ten of Witter's songs reached the top 10 on Canadian country radio. Biography Jim Witter grew up playing music. In 1982, he performed four songs on the "Music for Safe Water" compilation by 1280 CHAM radio. As a teenager, while still in high school, Jim honed his musical talents by playing evenings at a piano bar and restaurant called Snuggles, in Hamilton Ont. In 1990, one of Witter's demos caught the attention of a Sony Music Canada executive. Within three years, Witter was signed to FRE Records. His debut album, ''Jim Witter'', was released in 1993. Nichole Ellyse Nordeman (born January 3, 1972) is an American Contemporary Christian music, contemporary Christian singer and songwriter. Biography Nordeman was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she played the piano in church. She got her start when she entered a Gospel Music Association (GMA) contest in Los Angeles, California and was noticed by a music producer. She has won multiple GMA Dove Awards, including two awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. Her best-known songs include "Why", "This Mystery", "Holy", "Legacy", "Brave", and "What If". She also sang a song on the soundtrack ''Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia'', called "I Will Believe". Robert Bruce Ferguson (December 30, 1927 – July 22, 2001) was an American country music songwriter and record producer who was instrumental in establishing Nashville, Tennessee as a center of country music. He was also a movie producer, and Choctaw Indian historian. Ferguson is best known for writing the bestselling songs "Wings of a Dove (Bob Ferguson song), On the Wings of a Dove" and "The Carroll County Accident". The "Carroll County Accident" won the Country Music Association Song of the Year in 1969. "Wings of a Dove' is a country song written by Bob Ferguson in 1958. "Wings of a Dove" was most popular when it was recorded by Ferlin Husky in 1960. This recording went to number 1 on the country charts for 10 nonconsecutive weeks. It was Ferlin Husky's third and final number 1 on the country chart, spending nine months on it. "Wings of a Dove" was successful on the pop charts as well, peaking at number 12 on the Hot 100. In 1987, Broadcast Music Incorporated awarded Ferguson with the "million air" plays for the "Wings of a Dove". The song alludes to a passage from the Bible about God sending Noah a dove during the flood in Genesis 8:6-12. The title is inspired from Psalms 55:7 ("wings like a dove"). Kim Chadwick Tribble (November 14, 1951-August 26, 2021) was an American country music songwriter. Active since the mid-1990s, he has written for David Lee Murphy, Montgomery Gentry, Doug Stone, and others. Two songs written by Tribble, " Guys Do It All the Time" by Mindy McCready and " I Can Still Feel You" by Collin Raye, have made number 1 on the Hot Country Songs charts. Peter Seeger (May 3, 1919 – January 27, 2014) was an American folk singer and social activist. A fixture on nationwide radio in the 1940s, Seeger also had a string of hit records during the early 1950s as a member of the Weavers, notably their recording of Lead Belly's "Goodnight, Irene", which topped the charts for 13 weeks in 1950. Members of the Weavers were blacklisted during the McCarthy Era. "Turn! Turn! Turn!", or "Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is a Season)", is a song written by Pete Seeger in the late 1950s and first recorded in 1959. The lyrics – except for the title, which is repeated throughout the song, and the final two lines – consist of the first eight verses of the third chapter of the biblical Book of Ecclesiastes. The song was originally released in 1962 as "To Everything There Is a Season" on folk group the Limeliters' album ''Folk Matinee'', and then some months later on Seeger's own ''The Bitter and the Sweet''. The song became an international hit in late 1965 when it was adapted by the American folk rock group the Byrds. Kim McLean (born April 1, 1961; formerly known as Kim Patton or Kim Patton-Johnston) is a singer-songwriter originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. McLean moved to Nashville to pursue a career in songwriting. Initially a backing musician for Dottie West, he also worked with Bob Luman and Chet Atkins before beginning a solo career in the late 1970s.
