Forever Words
''Forever Words'' is a 2018 album by various artists recording poetry and lyrics by Johnny Cash set to music for the first time. The album follows a 2016 book release of the poems entitled ''Forever Words: The Unknown Poems'' (). The album includes a posthumously released track by Chris Cornell, who died in 2017. In 2020 and 2021, a deluxe version of the album was released in four waves, with a total of 18 additional songs. The first and second waves were released on October 23 and December 11, 2020 with the two remaining waves set for release on February 5 and April 2, 2021 respectively. Country Folk
Contemporary folk music refers to a wide variety of genres that emerged in the mid 20th century and afterwards which were associated with traditional folk music. Starting in the mid-20th century a new form of popular folk music evolved from traditional folk music. This process and period is called the (second) folk revival and reached a zenith in the 1960s. The most common name for this new form of music is also "folk music", but is often called "contemporary folk music" or "folk revival music" to make the distinction. The transition was somewhat centered in the US and is also called the American folk music revival. Fusion genres such as folk rock and others also evolved within this phenomenon. While contemporary folk music is a genre generally distinct from traditional folk music, it often shares the same English name, performers and venues as traditional folk music; even individual songs may be a blend of the two. Darrell DeShawn Camp (born August 29, 1966) is an American musician who performs country and Americana music. Originally signed to Reprise Records in 1993 as a recording artist, Camp charted two minor singles on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that year. Since then he has found success as a songwriter, having co-written hit singles for many country music artists, including Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Josh Turner, Brooks & Dunn, and Blake Shelton, although he continues to record his own material as well. Biography Camp was raised in Perryville, Arkansas by a musical family. Hard Working Americans is an American rock supergroup formed in 2013. The band consists of singer Todd Snider, bassist Dave Schools from Widespread Panic, Chad Staehly of Great American Taxi on keyboards and Duane Trucks, also from Widespread Panic, younger brother to Derek, on drums. Guitarist and vocalist Neal Casal died in 2019. Their debut performance was December 20, 2013 at a Boulder, CO benefit for Colorado Flood Relief. They embarked on a US Tour shortly thereafter. Their self-titled debut album '' Hard Working Americans'' was recorded in 2013 at Bob Weir's TRI Studios in San Rafael, CA. Jamey Johnson (born July 14, 1975) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to BNA Records in 2005, Johnson made his debut with his single " The Dollar", the title track to his 2006 album '' The Dollar''. The Jayhawks are an American alternative country and country rock band that emerged from the Twin Cities music scene in the mid-1980s.
