Foreign Body
A foreign body (FB) is any object originating outside the body of an organism. In machinery, it can mean any unwanted intruding object. Most references to foreign bodies involve propulsion through natural orifices into hollow organs. Foreign bodies can be inert or irritating. If they irritate they will cause inflammation and scarring. They can bring infection into the body or acquire infectious agents and protect them from the body's immune defenses. They can obstruct passageways either by their size or by the scarring they cause. Some can be toxic or generate toxic chemicals from reactions with chemicals produced by the body, as is the case with many examples of ingested metal objects. With sufficient force (as in firing of bullets), a foreign body can become lodged into nearly any tissue. Foreign Objects (TV Series)
''Foreign Objects'' was a Canadian television series, which aired on CBC Television in 2001. A short-run dramatic anthology series, the series was written and produced by Ken Finkleman. John Doyle, "The sharp truths among uneven Foreign Objects". ''The Globe and Mail'', September 24, 2001. Finkleman starred as documentary producer George Findlay, the same character he had played in his earlier series '' The Newsroom'', ''More Tears'' and '' Foolish Heart''. Apart from Findlay, each episode focused on a different set of characters and told a self-contained story based on themes of human frailty and obsession. The show's other main recurring character was Tibor (Colm Feore), a European acquaintance of Findlay's who was involved in drawing Findlay to the various settings in which the show's events took place. Foreign Objects was an American heavy metal band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1995, the band is centered on vocalist and guitarist Deron Miller, who is the only constant member. During its initial tenure, the band released one extended play (EP), ''The Undiscovered Numbers & Colors'' in 1995, before founding members Miller and Jess Margera (drums) went on to form CKY. Miller returned to the moniker in 2003 to complete work on the album '' Universal Culture Shock'', which featured contributions from guitarist James Murphy. The band returned again in 2014 with a new full lineup and recorded the album '' Galactic Prey'', which was released in 2015.
