Ford E-Transit Custom
The Ford Transit Custom is a mid-size car, mid-sized, front wheel drive van produced by Ford of Europe, Ford Europe since 2012. It is the smaller version of the Ford Transit#Fifth generation (2013–present), Ford Transit Mk.8. As with the rest of the Transit lineup, the more luxurious passenger versions were branded Tourneo Custom. __TOC__ First generation The Ford Transit Custom was unveiled at the 2012 Commercial Vehicle Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England. Currently, the Transit Custom is not sold in the United States and Canada, but it is sold in Mexico. It was not sold in China until 2016. Ford Duratorq Engine
The Ford Duratorq engine, commonly referred to as Duratorq, is the marketing name of a range of Ford diesel engines first introduced in 2000 for the Ford Mondeo range of cars. The larger capacity 5-cylinder units use the Power Stroke branding when installed in North American-market vehicles. The first design, codenamed "Puma" during its development, replaced the older Endura-D unit which had been around since 1984. Commercial versions of the Puma unit replaced Ford's older "2.5Di" type unit used in the Transit, and many other manufacturers' vehicles - most notably the London Taxi and in the Land Rover Defender. Ford EcoBlue Engine
EcoBlue is the marketing name for a range of Diesel engines from Ford Motor Company. The EcoBlue engines were developed under the codename "Panther" by Ford engineering teams in the U.K. and Germany, and are expected to succeed the Duratorq diesel engines, offering optimised fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 and NOx emissions. The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) is an exhibition centre located in Marston Green, Solihull, West Midlands, England.
