''Forbidden Music'' (Italian: ''Musica proibita'') is a 1942 Italian drama film directed by Carlo Campogalliani and starring Tito Gobbi, María Mercader and Giuseppe Rinaldi.Bayman p.138 An elderly composer recalls his youthful romance with a woman while a student in Florence. It was made at the Fert Studios in Turin. Carlo Campogalliani (10 October 1885 – 10 August 1974) was an Italian screenwriter, actor and film director. Campogalliani directed around eighty films during his career and acted in another fifty.
