''For Life'' is the fifth extended play An extended play record, usually referred to as an EP, is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single but fewer than an album or LP record.
by South Korean–Chinese boy band Exo (group), Exo. It was released on December 19, 2016 by SM Entertainment. The album contains five tracks, including the single of the same name, in both Korean language, Korean and Standard Chinese, Chinese versions. It was the last album to feature Lay Zhang, Lay before his extended hiatus.


Background and release

On November 30, 2016, Exo was confirmed to be releasing their fifth extended play and third special winter album, after ''Miracles in December'' (2013) and ''Sing for You (EP), Sing for You'' (2015). Exo ( ko, 엑소; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean-Chinese boy band based in Seoul formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012. The group consists of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun. They are noted for releasing music and performing extensively in Korean, Mandarin and Japanese.
