Football In Macau
The sport of football in Macau is run by the Associação de Futebol de Macau. The association administers the national football team as well as the national league. The national team has never qualified for the AFC Asian Cup or EAFF East Asian Championship. The team qualified for the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup, where they got one draw and two losses. Campeonato da 2ª Divisão do Futebol, is the second division of the Macau Football Association, created in 2005. As with the Hong Kong First Division League, it is separate from the mainland Chinese football league system, including the Chinese Super League and leagues above and below it. Canidrome (Macau)
The Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Club (), located in Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Macau, China, was a greyhound racing stadium in Asia. Around 120 dogs took part in 16 races five days per week. It had two grandstands, several private boxes and a VIP lounge. It shared the venue with Lin Fong Sports Centre, a sport complex. History The Canidrome opened in 1932 but was closed in 1938 due to the Second Sino-Japanese War. It reopened in 1963. On 21 July 2016, the Gaming and Inspection Bureau (DICJ) of Macau, Paulo Martins Chan, met with representatives of the Canidrome. Centro Desportivo Olímpico - Estádio () is a multi-purpose stadium in Taipa, Macau, China. It was formerly named Estádio Campo Desportivo () before the reconstruction of the stadium had been completed. The Olympic Sports Center is the largest sporting complex in Macau. It is more often known as the Macau Olympic Complex Stadium since it is the largest facility of the complex. 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup
The 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup was the inaugural edition of the AFC Solidarity Cup, an international football tournament. It took place between 2–15 November 2016 in Malaysia. The tournament was created by the Asian Football Confederation as a replacement for the AFC Challenge Cup which was played for the last time in 2014. A total of nine teams were eligible to compete in this edition of the tournament.
