Football League 2 Cup
The Gamma Ethniki Cup was a football competition cup introduced the 2013–14 season. Only the clubs of the new Football League 2 (Gamma Ethniki) are those that participate. The Gamma Ethniki Cup winner will compete at the end of the season with the winner of the Amateurs' Cup for Amateurs' Super Cup. Structure The need of organization emerged in 2013, after the abolition of the professional third-tier level Football League 2, and subsequent creation of an amateur third-level Gamma Ethniki, initially with six groups, later reduced to four. The Hellenic Football Federation created a new competition, in which amateur clubs of the newly structured amateur Gamma Ethniki competed against each other in a Cup competition which would be more competitive than the cups of regional football associations. 2014–15 Gamma Ethniki Cup
The 2014–15 Gamma Ethniki Cup was the second edition of the Gamma Ethniki Cup, a Greek football Cup competition, wherein only the clubs of the Football League 2 (the third tier of the Greek football league system) were allowed to participate. The Cup winner competed at the end of the season with the winner of the 2014–15 Amateurs' Cup for the 2015 Amateurs' Super Cup. First round In first round of the competition, the clubs in each Group competed against each other in single matches (overtime and penalties applied) until two clubs were declared Group winners. The competing pairs were selected as a result of random drawing that took place on 5 September 2014. Panetolikos Stadium ( el, Γήπεδο Παναιτωλικού ''Gipedo Panaitolikou'') is a multi-use stadium in Agrinio, Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. 2016–17 Gamma Ethniki Cup
The 2016–17 Gamma Ethniki Cup is the 3rd season of the competition, since its official establishment in 2013, and the first to take place after the 2015–16 edition was not held. In this competition, only the clubs of the Gamma Ethniki can participate. The 2016–17 Gamma Ethniki Cup winner will compete at the end of the season with the winner of the 2016–17 Amateurs' Cup for the Amateurs' Super Cup Greece. First round In first round of the competition, the clubs in each group compete against each other in singles matches (overtime and penalties apply) until one club is declared Group winner. The pairs are the result of random drawing.
