Football for both men and women was contested in the 2017 Summer Deaflympics from July 18 to July 30. Canik 19 Mayıs Stadium, Bafra Stadium and Çarşamba Stadium were selected to host the football matches. Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium (1975)
Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium ( tr, Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadyumu), also known as Canik 19 Mayıs Stadium (''Canik 19 Mayıs Stadyumu'') from 2017 until its demolition in 2018, was a multi-purpose stadium in the Canik district of Samsun, northern Turkey. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Samsunspor until the new Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium was opened in 2017. The stadium had a seating capacity for 16,480 spectators. It was demolished in 2018. The stadium was named in remembrance of the landing of Mustafa Kemal Pasha (1881–1938) in Samsun on May 19, 1919, to start the national independence movement. Renovation In 2006 the club decided to renovate the ground. The capacity was increased by several thousand by adding a second tier to the ''maraton'' stand, and all the seats were covered with a roof. The renovation increased the capacity to 16,480. Bafra Stadium
Bafra Stadium, also known as the New City Stadium of Bafra, ( tr, Bafra Stadyumu or ''Bafra Yeni Şehir Stadyumu'') is a football stadium located in Bafra district of Samsun Province, northern Turkey. The stadium is situated in Stad Cad. of Gazi Paşa neighborhood in Bafra. It is the home ground of 1930 Bafraspor, which play in the Regional Amateur League. Groundbreaking for the construction of the sports hall took place on February 12, 2014. It was opened on August 30, 2014. A pitch of artificial turf is annexed to the stadium. The construction cost 8.855 million (approx. US$4.1 million). The venue has a seating capacity for 5,000 spectators. It replaced the old stadium, which was built between 1974 and 1978, and demolished in 2017 after serving 39 years.
