Caroline Foot
Caroline Joy Foot (born 14 March 1965) is an English former butterfly swimmer. Early life Foot attended Millfield School. Swimming career Foot represented Great Britain at two Summer Olympics: 1988 and 1996. She represented England and won a silver medal in the 100 metres butterfly, at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. Four years later she represented England in the same event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. A third appearance resulted in 1998 when she participated in the 100 metres butterfly and the medley relay in which she won a bronze medal, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. She was a four times winner of the ASA National British Championships 100 metres butterfly (1986, 1995, 1997 and 1998). She also won the 50 metres butterfly title in 1997 and 2000. Oliver Foot
Oliver Isaac Foot (19 September 1946 – 6 February 2008) was a British actor, philanthropist and charity worker. Early life Oliver Foot was born on 19 September 1946, the son of Hugh Foot, (later Baron Caradon, Jamaica's last British Colonial Secretary), and Florence Sylvia Tod. He was the younger brother of journalists Paul Foot and Sarah Foot, and nephew of the former leader of the British Labour Party, Michael Foot, Labour government minister Sir Dingle Foot and Liberal peer Lord John Foot. Oliver was a lifelong socialist. After leaving Leighton Park School, he read English at Goddard College, Vermont before returning to England to attend a drama studio in Ealing, west London. Sarah Rosamund Irvine Foot (born 23 February 1961) is an English Anglican priest and Early Middle Ages, early medieval historian, currently serving as Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History at the University of Oxford. Early life and education Foot was born on 23 February 1961 and is the daughter of the military historian M. R. D. Foot and his second wife Elizabeth. Robert William Foot (7 June 1889 – 2 April 1973) was Director-General of the BBC, first jointly with Cecil Graves from 26 January 1942 to 6 September 1943 and then solely until he resigned on 31 March 1944. Before joining the BBC, Foot was a general manager at Gas Light and Coke Company. After being succeeded by William Haley, he became Chairman of the Mining Association. Michael Mackintosh Foot (23 July 19133 March 2010) was a British Labour Party politician who served as Labour Leader from 1980 to 1983. Foot began his career as a journalist on ''Tribune'' and the ''Evening Standard''. He co-wrote the 1940 polemic against appeasement of Adolf Hitler, ''Guilty Men'', under a pseudonym. Foot served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1945 to 1955 and again from 1960 until he retired in 1992. David Foot (24 April 1929 – 25 May 2021) was a British journalist and historian who wrote extensively on English cricket and the West Country. Foot was born in the Somerset village of East Coker and spent most of his life in Somerset and Gloucestershire. He began his journalistic career with the '' Western Gazette'' in Yeovil before moving on to the ''Bristol Evening World''. From 1962 onwards he worked largely as a freelance. In the national press he contributed primarily to '' The Guardian'' from 1971 to 2011, writing chiefly on Somerset and Gloucestershire cricket, together with some football reports and theatre reviews. Mandy Foot
Mandy Foot is a South Australian based illustrator of children's picture books, graphic design and artwork. She has won a number of awards including a Crystal Kite Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and a Karajia Award, the Wilderness Society's Environment Award for Children's Literature. Career Foot commenced her illustration career working at the Adelaide Zoo Education Service where she worked for over 15 years.
