Fong Kay Yian
Fong Kay Yian ( zh, 冯琪茵; born 5 November 1996) is a Singaporean diver. Early life and education Kay Yian studied at the Singapore Sports School and graduated from Republic Polytechnic with a Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management. She pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science at James Cook University Singapore (JCU) and graduated with Honours in July 2022. She was the very first recipient of JCU’s Sports Scholarship. Diving career In 2013, Kay Yian took part in the 2013 Asian Youth Games held in Nanjing and was ranked 7th in the 3 m springboard event. In December, she took part in the 2013 Southeast Asian Games along with her partner Myra Lee in the women's synchronized 3 m springboard event which the duo won the bronze medal. The 2019 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 30th Southeast Asian Games, or the 30th SEA Games, and commonly known as Philippines 2019, was the 30th edition of the Southeast Asian Games, a biennial regional multi-sport event which was held in the Philippines from 30 November to 11 December 2019. However, due to a narrow calendar, some sports started before the opening ceremony as early as November 24. The 1973 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, officially known as the 7th Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Singapore from 1 to 8 September 1973 with 16 sports featured in the games. This was the first time Singapore hosted the games. Singapore is the fourth nation to host the Southeast Asian Games after Thailand, Burma and Malaysia. The games was opened and closed by Benjamin Sheares, the President of Singapore at the Singapore National Stadium. The final medal tally was led by Thailand, followed by host Singapore and Malaysia. Wendy Ng Yan Yee (born 11 July 1993) is a Malaysian diver. Career Early beginning Ng begin diving at the age of 13 at Bandar Tun Razak Swimming Pool. She was a rhythmic gymnast but her talent was spotted by the national coach, Yang Zhuliang due to her "physical build was good for diving". 2012 Summer Olympics She competed 3 m springboard at the 2012 Summer Olympics. 2016 Summer Olympics Ng finished 11th in 3 metre springboard at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia and qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Myra Lee Jia Wen is a Singaporean diver. In 2010, Myra participated in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore. She managed to overcome a back injury she suffered during the preliminary round of the Girls' 10m platform and competed in the finals. However, the injury affected her performance and she finished last. In 2013, Myra took part in the 2013 Southeast Asian Games along with her partner Fong Kay Yian in the Women's synchronized 3 m springboard event which the duo won the bronze medal. A year later, she competed in the 2014 Asian Games Women's 1 metre springboard and Women's 3 metre springboard. She also took part in the Women's synchronized 3 metre springboard with Fong Kay Yian.
