Fonazei O Kleftis
''Fonazei o kleftis'' or ''Fonazi o kleftis'' ( el, Φωνάζει ο κλέφτης, italic=yes, meaning ''The Robber Complains'') is a 1965 Greek drama film directed and written by Giannis Dalianidis and starring Dinos Iliopoulos, Rena Vlachopoulou, Dionysis Papagiannopoulos and Andreas Douzos. It was filmed in the same year. Plot Lia (Rena Vlachopoulou) is married to retired general Solon Karaleon ( Dionisis Papagiannopoulos), who is now chairman of a public organization responsible for military supplies. Her brother Antonis (Andreas Douzos) is working in the organization and has made many embezzlements there along with other employees. To justify the luxurious life of her brother, Lia and Antonis pretend that he is financially supported by a wealthy uncle of them who lives in the US, which in reality is very poor. Giannis Dalianidis
Giannis Dalianidis ( el, Γιάννης Δαλιανίδης; 31 December 1923 – 16 October 2010) was a Greek film director. His first film was ''Mousitsa'', released in 1959, which was followed by a series of musicals. Between 1974 and 1981, he produced the television series ''Luna Park''. In 2002, he was dubbed a "national film hero" at the International Thessaloniki Film Festival. Biography Giannis Dalianidis was born in Thessaloniki on 31 December 1923. He started his career as a dancer under the nickname Giannis Dal. From 1958, he worked in cinema, initially as a screenwriter and afterwards as a director. In 1959 he directed his first film, ''Mousitsa'' and sometime later ''Laos kai Kolonaki''. In 1961 he started to cooperate with the Finos Films the most successful Greek film production company. Dionysis Papagiannopoulos ( el, Διονύσης Παπαγιαννόπουλος; 12 July 1912 – 17 April 1984) was a Greek actor. He was born in Diakopto in the northeastern part of Achaea in 1912. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece (Ethniko Theatro) in Athens and made his stage debut in 1938, appearing as the Knight in William Shakespeare's ''King Lear''. He excelled in Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'' as the Grave Digger and in Dimitris Psathas’ ''Fonazei o Kleftis'' as General Solon Karaleon. Stage and screen Dionysis Papagiannopoulos acted in all types of plays and appeared in more than 120 films in supporting and leading roles. Thodoros Kefalopoulos ( el, Θόδωρος Κεφαλόπουλος; 1894–1987) was a Greek actor. Biography He was born in Vryoula near Smyrna (mod. Izmir) in Asia Minor in the Ottoman Empire. His first screen appearance was in 1915. Hebecame a member of the Hellenic Actor's Guild a few months after its foundation in 1917. He participated chiefly in roving theatrical troupes, playing all kinds of roles (drama, comedy, burlesque, etc.). Finos Film (Greek: Φίνος Φιλμ) is a film production company that dominated the Greek film industry from 1943 to 1977. It was founded by Filopimin Finos in 1942 during World War II.
