''Foiled'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Blue October, released on April 4, 2006, by Universal Records. The album debuted at number 29 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, marking the band's first entry on the chart. The album was certified gold in the United States on August 9, 2006, and on February 22, 2007, was certified platinum. The album was also a success in Canada, where it has also achieved platinum status. It was supported by four singles: " Hate Me", " Into the Ocean", "She's My Ride Home", and "X Amount of Words". Background The album was recorded during the summer of 2005. Most of the songs on the album are older Blue October and 5591 songs, except for " Into the Ocean" and " Hate Me", which were written in early 2005 while Justin Furstenfeld was living in Los Angeles and recording the early demos for the album. ''Foiled for the Last Time'' is a two disc set by Blue October released by Universal Records on September 25, 2007. It contains an extended version of ''Foiled'' and a live recording disc. The first disc, titled ''Foiled +'', contains the complete ''Foiled'' album, a remastered version of the band's hit song "Calling You" from their ''History for Sale'' album and two previously unreleased remixes of "X-Amount Of Words", one each by Paul Oakenfold and Carmen Rizzo. The live disc, titled ''Teach Your Baby Well Live'', was recorded at Stubb's in Austin, Texas, on March 24, 2007. The concert was the first time that the songs "Let it Go" and "Angel" had been performed during a concert on the ''Teach Your Baby Well'' tour. "Congratulations" is the only song from ''Foiled'' that was not played at the concert, it was replaced with their ''Consent to Treatment'' song "Angel", which was one of Blue October's most popular songs that was not included on their previous live album '' Argue ... David Castell is an American record producer, musician, and recording engineer based in Dallas, Texas. Castell's recording career spans nearly three decades; his work with many major record labels and independent labels alike includes both platinum-selling national recording artists and unsigned regional acts, and a wide range of musical genres. Zayra Enid Alvarez Dones Nugent also known as just Zayra, is a Puerto Rican singer and musician, currently based in Texas. Zayra has recorded in the genres of rock en español, Latin pop and EDM.
