Carl George Fogarty, (born 1 July 1965), often known as Foggy, is an English former motorcycle racer and one of the most successful World Superbike racers of all time. He also holds the second highest number of race wins at 59. He is the son of former motorcycle racer George Fogarty. In 2011, Fogarty was named a FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements. Retired from racing since 2000, Fogarty is renowned for his high corner speed riding style, combined with an aggressive competitiveness, which brought him 59 victories and four World Superbike Championships (1994, 1995, 1998 and 1999). Conor Fogarty (born 12 May 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Erin's Own and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He currently lines out as a right wing-back. Playing career Castlecomer Community School Fogarty first came to prominence as a hurler with Castlecomer Community School. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was eventually called up the college's senior team. On 18 March 2007, he lined out at right wing-back when Castlecomer Community School defeated Kilkenny CBS by 0-11 to 0-06 to win the Leinster Championship. Bryan Charles Fogarty (June 11, 1969 – March 6, 2002) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who played for the Quebec Nordiques, Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens. A great star in the junior leagues and a high draft choice in the National Hockey League (NHL), his career was marred by persistent alcohol and drug use, which prevented him from playing a full season at any point and led to him being frequently traded. Thomas Bernard Fogarty (21 March 1878 – 23 February 1922) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda, South Melbourne and University in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Aidan Fogarty (born 7 June 1958 in Banagher, County Offaly) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club St Rynagh's and with the Offaly senior inter-county team from 1977 until 1991. Playing career Club Fogarty played his club hurling with the famous St Rynagh's club in Banagher and experienced much success. He won his first two senior county titles in 1975 and 1976 while still only a minor. Fogarty captured another set of back-to-back county medals in 1981 and 1982. This latter victory was subsequently converted into a Leinster title. Denis Fogarty (born 16 July 1983) is a former Irish rugby union player who played at hooker for Munster, Aurillac, Agen and Provence. He has also represented Ireland at schoolboy, U21 and 'A' level. Ken Fogarty (born in Manchester, England) is a (naturalised) American soccer coach. Fogarty was Head Coach and Technical Director of the Cayman Islands national team from 1993 to 1994 and from 1996 to 1998. Professional career Fogarty began his professional career with Stockport County at the age of seventeen. He then moved to the United States to play for the Los Angeles Skyhawks of the second American Soccer League (ASL) in 1976, the year they won the ASL Championship. He returned to England to play for Stockport County until returning to the US in 1979 to play for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League (NASL). Martin Fogarty is an Irish hurling coach and former player, whom the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) named as its first National Hurling Development manager in June 2016, a role he filled from the end of that August. The role, according to Fogarty, gave him "free rein to develop hurling across 32 counties as I think best" and particular intentions to develop the sport in Antrim, Carlow, Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
