Flumserberg Ladies Open
The Flumserberg Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament in the LET Access Series, held since 2014 at Gams-Werdenberg Golf Club in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Originally the tournament was named after its main sponsor, the Association Suisse des Golfeurs Indépendants (ASGI). After three seasons as the successor sponsor, VP Bank stepped up to sponsor the Ladies European Tour event VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, and the tournament was renamed after Flumserberg, the nearby Swiss Alps resort area. Format The tournament is played in 54-hole Stroke play format. In 2023, the tournament's 10-year anniversary, the format changed to "Mätzler Mix", with 36 hole stroke play over Friday and Saturday, followed by three rounds of 9 hole match play on Sunday. The top 48 players advanced to the first match play, where the top 24 advanced to the second round, and the top 3 played in the third round, the final. Gams is a municipality in the ''Wahlkreis'' (constituency) of Werdenberg in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. History Gams is first mentioned in 835 as ''Campesias''. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. The 2018 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from April through November 2018 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. The Jabra Ladies Open, held at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France and since 2014 the European qualifying competition for the Evian Championship, became the tour's first dual-ranking event with the LET. Isabella Holpfer
Isabella Holpfer (born 6 January 2001) is an amateur golfer from Austria. She won the Junior Vagliano Trophy in 2015 and 2017, and was a finalist in The R&A's Girls Amateur Championship in 2018 and 2019. Amateur career Holpfer was born in Vienna in 2001 to an Austrian father and a mother from Minnesota. She began competing in golf at a young age, and in 2009 in participated in the Austrian "Schüler Golf Cup U10" tournaments, eventually winning 21 events in her age group. Between 2010 and 2013 she also participated in the U.S. KidsGolf World Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Holpfer joined the Austrian National Team and represented her country at the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 European Girls' Team Championships and at the 2019 and 2021 European Ladies' Team Championship. Nina Pegova (russian: Нина Пегова, born 5 January 1994) is a Russian professional golfer. Career Pegova won the Russian Open Amateur Championship three times and was runner-up in the Finnish Amateur and Hungarian Amateur Championships. Patricia Isabel Schmidt (born 1 September 1995) is a German professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She won the 2023 Belgian Ladies Open. Amateur career Schmidt won the 2017 Hetzenhof Open in Baden-Württemberg. In 2018, she finished 3rd at the Luxembourg International Amateur Championship. Professional career Schmidt turned professional in 2021 and joined the LET Access Series.
