State Road 247 (SR 247) is a southwest to northeast state highway between U.S. Route 129 (US 129 and SR 249) in Branford, Suwannee County, Florida and US 90 ( SR 10) in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida. It is almost entirely a two-lane undivided highway except at its termini, and some intersections, where it contains left-turn lanes. Between its termini, SR 247 intersects with no state roads other than former ones. Route description State Road 247 begins at US 129 (Suwannee Avenue) as West Plant Street, which is a four lane divided highway for only one block. That block is Drane Street, and is where the first reassurance sign for the route can be found. Despite being signed as north and south, in this town it is geographically more west and east. Within Branford, all north-south streets intersecting are prefixed with "Northwest" north of SR 247, and "Southwest" south of SR 247, until one reaches Reynolds Street which is prefixed simply as North Reynolds on the north side ...

The State Highway System of the U.S. state of Florida comprises the roads maintained by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) or a toll authority. The components are referred to officially as state roads, abbreviated as SR. History Prior to the 1945 renumbering, State Roads were given numbers in the order they were added to the system. The 1945 renumbering removed many roads that were never built and added some that had not existed prior to 1945. State Road 10 (SR 10), also known as Atlantic Boulevard, is a major east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Florida. Mostly unsigned in favor of U.S. Highway 90, it runs from the Alabama state line (Perdido River) to Atlantic Beach. The only sections that are not signed as US 90 are north of Pensacola, where US 90 uses SR 10A and SR 10 is signed as U.S. Highway 90 Alternate, and east of south Jacksonville, where US 90 uses unsigned SR 212. State Road 249 (SR 249) is the state designation for U.S. Route 129 between US 27( SR 20) in Branford and US 90( SR 10) in Live Oak. It also includes a bi-county extension in Suwannee County, Florida from Live Oak across the Suwannee River to Jasper in Hamilton County. Florida State Road 136
State Road 136 (SR 136), locally known as Thunder Road, is a east–west route in Suwannee, Columbia and Hamilton Counties. Its western terminus is just west of Interstate 75 and is a continuation of County Road 136 in rural Suwannee County. Its eastern terminus is US 41 in White Springs. Route description For the most part, SR 136 serves as an access road from Interstate 75 to White Springs. The State Road designation begins west of I-75, where County Road 136 ends. The road then enters Columbia County, travelling about before crossing the Suwannee River into Hamilton County. Upon entering Haminton County (and the city of White Springs), the road is renamed Bridge Street.
