State Road 15A (SR 15A) is part of the Florida State Road System, and a suffixed alternate of State Road 15. Along with its parent route, SR 15A is signed north–south. Route description SR 15A begins at the intersection of US 17/92 (SR 15/600; South Woodland Boulevard) as a western continuation of East Taylor Road, which from there runs east to CR 4101. It forms a western truck bypass for the aforementioned routes around DeLand, and begins to curve to the northwest just before the intersection with South Adelle Avenue while West Taylor Road resumes in a realigned road just south of the intersection with SR 15A and South Adelle, which returns to the original trajectory that SR 15A replaced. North of the intersection with West Beresford Avenue it becomes part of South Spring Garden Boulevard. State Road 15 (SR 15) is part of the Florida State Road System. This route is part of a multi two-state route 15 that begins at Florida and ends at Georgia at the North Carolina state line. Route description SR 15 runs from SR 80/ SR 880 at Belle Glade north along the east shore of Lake Okeechobee to Okeechobee. Then it runs north to SR 500 (US 192) at Holopaw, and northwest along SR 500 to Ashton (east of St. Cloud), where it ends. A total of at least twenty-three special routes of U.S. Route 17 exist; two in Florida, five in South Carolina, fifteen in North Carolina, and six in Virginia. Florida Kissimmee truck route US 17-92 Truck is an alternate route for US 17-92 in northern Kissimmee, Florida, following John Young Parkway and the Osceola Parkway (CR 522) instead of Vine Street (US 192) and Orange Blossom Trail. It was signed in about 2011 when the single-point urban interchange at John Young and Osceola Parkways was completed. Until 1999, a truck bypass was signed around Downtown Kissimmee. Pahokee, Florida
Pahokee is a city located on the shore of Lake Okeechobee in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,649 in the 2010 census. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, 57% of the residents of Pahokee were African American and 33% were Hispanic or Latino. In 2018, the Mayor, Kenneth W. Babb, as well as the four members of the City Commission were all African American. History Pahokee was incorporated in 1922. The name "Pahokee" means "grassy waters" in the Creek language. Local residents refer to Pahokee as "The Muck", which signifies the mineral-rich dark soil in which sugar cane, citrus fruits, and corn are grown by agribusinesses. State Road 551 (Florida)
State Road 551 (SR 551), locally known as Goldenrod Road and Palmetto Avenue, forms a north–south surface street bypass of Orlando to the east. A Central Florida Expressway Authority project known as Goldenrod Road Extension connects to SR 551 just north of SR 15 and extends it south to SR 528 (Beachline Expressway). State Road 472 (SR 472) is an east–west divided highway currently running from U.S. Route 17-92 (US 17/US 92) near DeLand to CR 4145 in Deltona, Florida, United States. Glenwood, Volusia County, Florida
Glenwood is a small unincorporated community in West Volusia County, Florida. It developed as an orange growing agricultural and lumber industry community. It is now home to a trail and a group home residential community. It is popular for birding and borders Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. History In 1879 H.E. Hamlin discovered a seedling in his orange grove in Glenwood that he named "Hamlin". It became the most widely grown variety in Florida.
