Meudon
Meudon () is a municipality in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is in the département of Hauts-de-Seine. It is located from the center of Paris. The city is known for many historic monuments and some extraordinary trees. One of them, the Imperial Cedar (), attracted the attention of Empress Eugénie and Queen Victoria. As of March 2021, the tree is in good condition, but it is threatened by real estate speculation. Another real estate project is planned for the historic park of the Napoleon III villa built by Charles Schacher. Both projects are controversial and have aroused local opposition. Geography The town of Meudon is built on the hills and valleys of the Seine. The wood of Meudon lies for the most part to the west of the town. Benjamin Thomas (born 12 September 1995) is a French professional road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He rode at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. In August 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Vuelta a España. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia. He rode the Tour de France for the first time in 2022. On stage 15, Thomas broke away from the Peloton and was attempting to get the first French win in over thirty stages, but was caught inside the final few hundred meters. After the stage he commented, "I believed I could make it. If we could have stayed together with Alexis maybe it would have been different… I'm completely dead, I'm seeing stars. I was not thinking anymore." UEC European Track Championships – Men's Madison
The Men's madison is one of the disciplines of the annual UEC European Track Championships. It was first competed as a separate event in 1895. European championships Madison events were later held as European Criterion or Winter Championship (1949–1971). From 1972 to 1990, they were organized by the FICP as European Championship.
