Florencio Barrera
Florencio Segundo Barrera Godoy (6 June 1915 – 28 March 1975) was a Chilean footballer as a midfielder. He made ten appearances for the Chile national team from 1942 to 1945. Deportes Magallanes is a Chilean Football team based in San Bernardo, Chile. They will play in the Primera División de Chile starting from 2023 after winning the 2022 Primera B championship. The club was founded on October 27, 1897 with the name Atlético Escuela Normal F.C.. In 1933 they became the first national champions of Chile. They won a hat trick of titles in the formative years of Chilean football (1933, 1934 and 1935) but their last major title came in 1938. The seventeenth edition of the South American Championship was held in Montevideo, Uruguay from 10 January to 7 February. For the first time seven teams took part of the event; the participating countries were Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Bolivia, and Colombia withdrew from the tournament.
